Thanks to the excellent motorway network, you can arrive comfortably with your own caravan to MESSE ESSEN and feel right at home here.
There are two campsites in the south of Essen, where you can start your journey.
Lake Baldeney campsite has a beautiful view of the water. The site is open year-round and has a beer garden, restaurant and kiosk. The sanitary facilities are suitable for the disabled and for children. The next site is approx. four kilometres away.
Essen's Werden district features a campsite directly on the Ruhr River - close to the city yet situated in nature - with paved caravan spaces, 100 spaces for tourists and 180 permanent parking spaces.
Essen Werden is a small district with a historic old town, half-timbered houses and cobbled streets. In good weather, the Ruhr and Lake Baldeney are perfect for a walk, a boat tour or a round of miniature golf. Thanks to excellent public transportation connections - the streetcar is a short walk from the site - the campsite is a good starting point for visiting the trade fair and the city of Essen.
